08/26/05 My blatant Buttercup Festival worship may be apparent in this. If it wasn't, it is now. Never having lived in a house with cable, I often wondered what this MTV thing was the kids always talked about. Several years ago, having access to cable television in a vacation house, I checked it out. They were playing some kind of R&B music and showing a bunch of people in bathing suits dancing in pools at various camera angles. They kept showing this, on and on. Sometimes the people would say things into the camera which indicated they were having a good time. I'm aware that other things happen on MTV (for example: shows where people are stupid), but I don't really give a shit what it is. No matter what they run, it will never change the first thing I saw on their stupid horrible channel. I am awfully glad I didn't have access to cable TV as a kid. -TK
